Yes, some labs are now trying to produce synthetic blue diamonds but these synthetic stones are no match for those diamonds that are formed through natural process. It has been sold and then resold. It has even been cut and re-cut over the years making marked alterations in the shape of the diamond. Indeed, the colorful history of the Hope Diamond made it more expensive than ever. For many people, owning this diamond is like owning a piece of history.
